Dive the "Al Munassir"

THE MOST INCREDIBLE  WRECK IN THE GULF...

...STILL JUST 15 MIN AWAY FROM US!

Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, April 21 2003 – As part of the tourism development plan to further upgrade the Eco Tourism and Dive product the Royal Oman Navy has made its contribution by sinking the 84 metre ship, "Al Munnassir” . The 3,000 tonne ship was sunk in 30 metres of water in the turquoise waters of Bandar Khairan  close to the country’s capital, Muscat.  Within a few weeks the wreck will become home to fish and other marine life and by next year coral will start to grow making the "Al Munnassir"  an important part of the eco system.

The wreck is easily accessible from Oman Dive Centre with just a short boat ride of 15 minutes. We organise regulary trips to the wreck.

“ An interesting wreck like this will bring a completely new dimension to our dive product. We are confident that the "Al Munnassir " will soon be as famous as the Thistlegorm wreck in the Red Sea “ says Bernard Radvaner, Dive Centre Manager at Oman Dive Centre.
